This restaurant is right in the heart of Balboa Park. I've been coming here since I was in High School but back then it was called The Cafe' del Remoro - Built in 1915 for the Pam American Exposition, it really is a San Diego landmark:

I admit, I didn't take this picture today. I got pretty busy and grabbed this from last Friday. The Prado is a favorite, this is a nice glass of sauvignon blanc.

No matter where you are on the planet, restaurants and their staff are the heartbeat of that city. If you want to know what's really going on, in that city, ask a good waiter, in a great restaurant.. Or a bartender.
